Saint Vincent – Country #136
21.-22. May 2026
I landed at 9 AM and took a taxi to Mariners Hotel (15 minutes, $30). The room was already ready even though I arrived super early — clearly low season.
From there I went straight to the Botanical Garden, the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. Paid $12 for entry + a guide who showed me around for an hour. Honestly, it was the highlight of the day and definitely worth it.
Driving through Kingstown was pretty rough though — looked run down and a bit sketchy, almost no tourists anywhere.
After lunch at the hotel I walked over to Carib Coffee at Paradise Beach Hotel. This place is easily the nicest spot I found on the whole island — great coffee, nice wooden deck, relaxed vibe. Spent a couple hours there eating quiche and cake.
After 4pm when the intensive caribbean sun got weaker i went in front of my hotel to the beach for a swim . the rest of the day i took it easy. For diner i went next door to the Ada Restaurant, so far the best restaurant in saint vincent!
Saint Vincent is very quiet and slow. Nice for one day, but I wouldn’t stay longer.
