My first visit to Brasil in October 2018
I visited the beach, the christ statue, went by cable car up the sugarloaf mountain and made a tour thru the favelas. In one a teenager with just shorts came with a gun towrads me. but all was safe 🙂

Know where to go and you have a good time there.
Nice bar (like in an underground old bank real safe), next door when you come out homeless hanging around and feels scarry to walk = a lot contrast from rich and poor. In some areas there i definitley i wouldnt go. better you as car service then walk. i walked nothing happened, but in some areas i didnt feel well.
