• Safety: Felt safe during the day in the English Harbour area.
• SIM Card: Used Airalo eSIM again — worked perfectly.
• Cash or Card: Bring some cash for taxis and small vendors.
• How many days? 1 night is enough. I focused on the English Harbour area.
• Must try: Local food (if you can find it) – but be aware American fast food is dominating.
I stayed one night in English Harbour, which is the nicest and most charming part of Antigua. My hotel, Antigua Superyacht Marina Resort, was in a great location.
The highlight was Pigeon Point Beach. Because it was low season in mid-May, the beach felt almost like a private beach — almost no people there. Beautiful and peaceful.
Just like in many other Caribbean islands, American fast food chains (KFC, Domino’s, etc.) have a very strong presence here and are slowly pushing out local food.
