A huge country, a lot to see, from traditional to modern, it has all to offer. Its once of my favorite countries in the world, since it people are traditional and modern at the same time. I have been there many times.

St. Petersburg
A city which is quite cool, more trendy, easy going, then the luxorious Moscow. Many cool Bars.
Murmansk
A mix of scandinavian and russian. Food wise i would have thought iam in scandinavia. Even there are many old ex-svoeit buldings, i found many nice modern Restaurants and cafe. Try the Murmansk Scallops.
The Hotel receptionist kinda thought iam a Spy or so (or remembered back in soviet, where she had to report foreigners) once she heard iam a foreigner…but she was really helpfull 🙂 I think i was one of the only Tourists there. I went with my russian girlfriend, so it made it a lot easier for communication.
Irkutsk
A Siberian city near the biggest freshwater lake of the world: lake baikal.
