Seoul: Modern Vibes, Endless Energy & Repeat Worthy 20–26 February 2025

Seoul quickly became one of my favorite big cities in Asia. It’s modern, dynamic, and has so much variety that you can easily return multiple times and still discover new things.

Hotel Stay

I stayed at the Lotte Hotel, a classic high-end landmark in the heart of Seoul. The location was excellent — central, convenient for both sightseeing and nightlife, and with all the comfort and service you’d expect from a top hotel.

City Impressions

South Korea’s capital feels very special. It’s incredibly modern with excellent infrastructure, efficient public transport, and that unique mix of traditional and futuristic elements. While locals tend to be quite reserved with each other, the city is full of tourists and has a very international, welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

What I loved most was the endless variety of places to eat and drink. Seoul offers everything from cheap street food and cozy local restaurants to high-end fine dining. You’ll find:

  • Countless cafes (the coffee culture is massive)
  • Vibrant bars and nightlife areas
  • Karaoke bars (noraebang) everywhere — a must-try experience in Korea
  • Restaurants serving amazing Korean food at all price levels — from affordable local spots to luxury dining

No matter your budget, Seoul has something excellent to offer.

Final Thoughts

Seoul is a city that perfectly balances old and new, tradition and modernity. The food scene, vibrant neighborhoods, and overall energy make it incredibly addictive. Six days felt like a good length, but I already know I’ll be back to explore more areas, try more food, and enjoy the city’s unique vibe.

Would I recommend Seoul? Absolutely yes! It’s one of those cities you can visit again and again. Whether you love food, shopping, culture, nightlife, or just walking around fascinating neighborhoods, Seoul delivers at every level. Highly recommended for first-timers and return visitors alike.
